• Well Baby Care

COY Paediatrics provide services that follow-up the growth and development of a child from birth through to adolescence. The aim of our care plan is to ensure children grow appropriately, and challenges to optimal development are identified and resolved early for best outcome.

At our community 25 facility, the clinic has a special section within the facility designated as the immunization section. You can locate the Immunization section on your right hand side from the car park. This section has a waiting area, consulting room and vaccine administration area. Whilst the Immunization section is on the right wing of the building, the outpatient welcome area for sick children is on the left wing. This plan is our attempt to ensure well babies who visit our facilities are protected from infections. Within this immunizations section, babies will be examined, receive all the immunizations they may require, have their developmental milestones monitored till they are 5 years old.

In response to numerous client request for growth monitoring, at the community 6 facility, a day has been set aside for growth monitoring visits for interested parents. Growth monitoring visits afford parents the opportunity to know how well their children are doing and have all developmental concerns addressed.

We are passionate about providing the right support for breastfeeding and complementary feeding to mothers who patronize our facility. Please do not hesitate to engage our staff on any concern you may have for early resolution. Delays in addressing feeding needs adversely affect growth and development of your baby.

Qualified personnel are available to attend delivery of babies when the obstetrician considers it necessary. The Practice also holds a well-baby clinic. The growth and development of the child is monitored as part of the well child clinic organized by the hospital till the age of 5 years.

    Immunization Clinic

Currently we hold the Routine Ghana Health Service Immunization clinics on every 3rd Tuesday of the month at our Immunization Center. This clinic is complemented with a doctor’s consultation at each visit. The doctor’s consultation is to ensure effective monitoring of the child’s development and to address any challenges in care and development in a timely manner.
Older children, adolescents and adults can visit this immunization center for vaccines they may require.

  • Tip For The Week

Safety and security don't just happen, they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear.
