Service Overview

Parenting a child with a special need, whether a physical disability, a learning delay, an emotional challenge, or a developmental disorder such as missing developmental milestones, difficulty focusing and controlling impulses, eating disorders, difficulty making eye contact and responsiveness, difficulty speaking, spelling, understanding, and retaining lessons, poor muscle, speech and vision controls, may require specific skills.

COY Paediatric Practice offers a wide range of services that meets your child’s needs. These are, Behavior therapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy and Diet therapy sessions manned by highly professional and qualified therapists that are committed to providing premium services that ensures your child experiences total transformation in the end.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy enables individuals to perform their activities of daily living (ADLs) at an optimum level. Our Occupational Therapist help manage birth injuries, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy, etc. Occupational Therapists help children gain independence in ADL performance and participation by developing fine motor skills, Sensory motor skills, learning basic tasks, hand-eye coordination, evaluating the need for assistive device, improving attention and social skills.

Behaviour Therapy

Therapy addresses challenging behaviours that could be self-destructive, unhealthy and harmful to others. These are handles through redirecting, reinforcement and motivation, The main objective of Behaviour Therapy is to reinforce desirable behaviours, modify problematic ones or remove unwanted behaviour. Our focus is to manage conditions like maladaptive behaviour, inattention, potty-training, obsessive-compulsive disorder, excessive throwing of tantrums, so well that the child is able to fit in society properly, be independent, academically sound, and interact well with everyone.

Speech & Language Therapy

We have added speech and language therapy to our range of services for children. This service is on appointment basis. Do contact our front desk for booking. Referrals from other facilities are welcome

Physiotherapy

We manage paediatric conditions such as Cerebral palsy, Erbs palsy, klumpke palsy, developmental delays, down syndrome, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, juvenile arthritis among others. We provide physiotherapy services on selected days to children who require physiotherapy services. This service is by appointment only. Referrals from other facilities is welcome.

Neurodevelopmental assessment

A Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician holds a clinic on the 3rd Monday of each month at both COY 6 &25 for assessment of children with special needs referred by qualified doctors or Paediatricians. This clinic is by appointment. Kindly contact the front desk of any COY facility to book your slot.
